A Very Special Treat

Song has been on a special project for work all week which meant he was leaving the house at 4 a.m. and not returning until 7 or 8 at night. We missed our Papa all week long. Each night Kaitlyn asked "Why not Papa eat with us tonight?" I would tell her he was still on his special project and he wouldn't be home until later. She would reply "so sad," and I would readily agree.

So, this morning as a "we missed you Papa" celebration we went out to breakfast at Two Trees Cafe and Papa ordered her a special treat to eat.

Now you can see why she is a Papa's girl.

Madeleine slept through the night twice this week waking up at 7 a.m. each time. Poor Song did not benefit from these two nights of sleep since he was waking up so early and was gone by 4 a.m. Alas, it was only a tease as the last two nights she's gotten up at 4:30 a.m. Oh well, it will get better -- eventually.
