A little over a week ago Mother Nature teased us.
We made three trips to the beach in a short 2-day span of warm weather.
One night we packed up our dinner last minute (a non-beach friendly dinner of teriyaki shrimp, fried rice and stir-fry broccoli) and headed out.

"Mo, what are you doing?"
"Me a sand crab!"

After all that rain, the hills behind our beach are covered with their signature yellow wild flowers right now which I love.
These two crack me up together.

That night we grabbed some take out and watched Papa and Chris surf.
What's better than this little face?
It was in the low 60s again this week, but I know you'll be back again warm weather.
I just know it.

I've said it before...so jealous that the beach is so close to you. We're getting a teaser today too but hopefully that means warmer weather will stick.
ya know...I admire that you'll take your kids to the beach on a whim! Because I'd rather spend the day at Disneyland than lug us to the beach...and the sand....and. the. sand.
one word: JEALOUS
it's been raining here since we got back... brrrr.
oh em gee! so stinkin' cute! wish we were closer to the beach. it's a 3 hour drive for us here from charlotte to the beach.
Was that Song on that wave? I would be impressed if it was. That had some size to it, it was also closing out, if Songer dropped into that, wow.
